mSecure 7 is here! It’s our biggest update yet. And it does more than refresh the look – it adds brand new features to make your digital life easier.
Here are a few of the newest ones. There are plenty more, though. So check out this article for a complete overview of all the features we have added so far.
A quick note on the rollout
Version 7 is on a gradual release schedule. As a result, it may not have downloaded onto your devices yet. But by next week, the rollout will be complete. Then mSecure 7 will be available to everyone.
Don’t want to wait?
On iOS and Mac, you can grab the update manually right now. Just open the App Store, search for mSecure, and tap to update.
On Android and Windows, however, manual download isn’t available. Instead, the new version will arrive automatically as the rollout reaches your device.
Your 2FA codes now live with your passwords
If you’ve been juggling a separate authenticator app for your two-factor codes, you can stop. mSecure 7 stores one-time passwords (OTP) right alongside the login they belong to. When you sign in, your password and your 2FA code are in the same place, ready to autofill – no flipping between apps, no racing the countdown timer.
This is one of the most-requested features we’ve ever shipped, and it’s available on Essentials and up. Move your codes over once and never think about it again. To learn more, read what an OTP is and how OTPs work in mSecure 7
Go passwordless with Passkeys
Passkeys are the industry’s answer to the password’s biggest weakness:
you can’t phish, guess, or leak something that was never typed. They use the security built into your device to log you in with a face or fingerprint instead of a string of characters.
mSecure 7 now supports passkeys (Essentials and up), so you can store and use them across your devices the same way you do passwords. As more sites adopt them, you’re already set – and you’re not locked into a single browser or ecosystem to use them.

Find anything fast with Custom Filters
Big vault? mSecure 7’s Custom Filters let you save up to five views you actually use – “Work logins,” “Cards,” “Subscriptions” – and jump straight to them. Multiple tags per record mean a single login can live in more than one of those views at once.
Pair that with the improved search and the search bar now pinned to the top, and finding the right record takes a tap, not a scroll. Custom Filters are available on Premium. Learn how to use Custom Filters on each of your devices here.
Share a login without texting it
We’ve all done it: sent a password over text or email to a partner, a teammate, or a family member. It works, but that password now lives in plain text in two inboxes forever.
We’ve updated our Sharing Center to be more intuitive to share individual records and vaults securely, so the people who need access get it without the password ever leaving an encrypted environment. On the Family plan, shared vaults and an admin view make this effortless for the whole household. Sharing Center is available on the Premium plan.
Plus a fresh, faster experience
Beyond the headline features, mSecure 7 brings a redesigned record and edit view, a smarter password generator, enhanced search, an improved recents view, and refined light mode – small refinements you’ll feel every time you open the app.
How to get mSecure 7
mSecure 7 is rolling out now. Update from your app store (iOS/Mac only), open the app, and explore – and if you want a head start, check out the updated Security Center to knock out any weak passwords before you set up your new 2FA codes.
