mSecure 6 FAQ: Will V5 Paid Users Lose Functionality?
There’s been some confusion regarding the transition to subscriptions. If you were an mSecure 5 Pro/paid user, you will not lose any features from V5. All V5 features are included in the new Essentials subscription, free of charge. Additionally, you receive a 30-day trial of our Premium subscription, which includes new features such as the Sharing Center and multiple Tags.
Key Point: Your V5 license is now an mSecure 6 Essentials account at no cost, keeping all previous features intact.
mSecure 6 FAQ: Why Isn’t mSecure 6 Showing in My App Store?
We have gradually rolled out mSecure 6. It is now available in the iTunes and Mac App Stores, Google Play Store, and Microsoft Store. Check for updates in your device’s app store to ensure you have the latest version.
mSecure 6 FAQ: Missing Groups on Windows?
The first release of mSecure 6 for Windows had an issue converting Groups to Tags. We fixed this in version 6.0.235.0. If you update immediately and are missing Groups, refer to our support article to retrieve your V5 Groups.
mSecure 6 FAQ: Are You Being Forced to Upgrade?
As third-party developers, we cannot force updates. Apple, Google, and Microsoft handle app updates based on their store guidelines. If you enable automatic updates, the app stores may update your device to mSecure 6 without intervention, but mSeven Software does not control this process.
mSecure 6 FAQ: Essential vs Premium Subscriptions
- Essentials: Includes all the features from V5 Pro, plus new features like browser extensions.
- Premium: Includes all Essentials features plus advanced tools like cross-account sharing and multiple Tags.

mSecure 6 FAQ: Are Tags a Premium Feature?
- Essentials users can add one Tag per record.
- Premium users can add multiple tags.
- Tags created during the Premium trial remain even after it ends.

mSecure 6 FAQ: Device Not Syncing?
If one device runs V6 while another runs V5, your devices cannot sync until you update all of them to mSecure 6. Once you update all devices, mSecure 6 automatically syncs any changes you made in V5.
mSecure 6 FAQ: Can I Revert Back to mSecure 5?
mSecure 6 is an update to mSecure 5 and installs on top of it. V5 is no longer available in app stores, and once updated, you cannot revert. Don’t worry – V5 Pro users retain all features in their free V6 Essentials account.
mSecure 6 FAQ: Why Does My Account Show Essentials (Premium Trial)?
All V5 Pro users receive a free Essentials account. Every user also gets a 30-day Premium trial to experience new features. After the trial, your account remains Essentials with no monthly charges unless you choose Premium.
